Panza Grotesk Typeface Design
Visual Design
Panza was inspired by early realist grotesques — specifically Venus (1907) and Johnston (~1913) — and the character of Sancho Panza from Cervantes' Don Quixote. The typeface and accompanying risograph booklet were designed over 6 months in 2018-19.
Lapham's Quarterly
Print Design
Lapham’s Quarterly pulls from all of human history to curate literary mixtapes of wisdom on specific themes. In my redesign I drew on the inherent playfulness and assemblage quality of the publication to rebrand and reimagine the reading experience.
Central Cinema
Branding
Central Cinema is a beloved second-run movie theater in the CD. Our concept of “Your Neighborhood Living Room” draws on visual language from candy wrappers, chip bags, and VHS — and speaks directly to Central Cinema’s geeky, nostalgic charm.
